Final EQ

I opened photoshop, added a textured background, researched the quote, copy and pasted the quote, changed the spacing, changed the font size, and changed the font.

I opened the template in photoshop, imported the photos, cropped them, removed the white from the forest festival logo, changed the background to a gradient, added the text, changed the font size, changed the font color, and changed the font.

I opened a blank page in Illustrator, made the background black, starting putting a bunch of lines with the stroke tool, I used the swirl tool, twist tool, and made the lines abstract looking.

EQ #13

Schools should have a greater focus on modern artistic outlets. The current generation is slowly realizing the enjoyment of artistic pursuits. Current artistic practices in schools are extremely archaic. There are many knowledge benefits gained from focusing on artistic abilities. Honestly the current standards are below par and we need to change that.
Sure we have programs like art and band but these are simply not enough. Plus in a world dominated by digital art and modern music, only having classes based on outdated art forms no longer used is pretty ignorant. With all the technology now used in these art forms we should no longer be only using physical instruments, paint brushes, and canvas. Kids are no longer interested in classical music and marching bands they would much rather learn about pop instrumentation or hip hop wordplay.
My main point being there is an obvious age gap in administration and students. I'm not gonna sit here and tell you that I know the perfect answer to this problem but I can make some suggestions, hire someone more connected with my age group to decide which art forms to focus on. Kids are no longer interested in Van Gogh or Picasso they would much rather view Banksy or Warhol, they are no longer interested in Beethoven or Mozart they would much rather listen to J. Cole or Lana Del Ray.

9 Weeks Exam

For this picture I used the magic lasso on the bee picture to select only the bee and its wings, copied and pasted it onto the flower picture, and then resized and re located it to look realistic.

EQ #6

My favorite activity that I have done so far is making a quote. Mainly because I really like the quote I picked, it was simple, and I really liked the finished product.
